Although this is a great episode in most aspects, many Star Trek: The next generation Fans have learned to hate the episode “Booby Trap”. This is due to a creepy sub -plan in which Gelordi Laforge begins to fall in love with colleague’s engineer Lee Brahmsa hologram, and he makes things insane strange (we are talking about Incel: the final limit) when he runs into a real woman later. However, these fans need to know that this could always be worse: at first, this hate story Picard interacted with Brahms and eventually saving the day.
Why Star Trek almost worsened the trap
If the leading actor is involved in this cringeworthy star Trek story, it may be very good to do the “booby trap” even worse. Fortunately, we were spared we had to see it, thanks to the show’s host Michael Piller, who believed that “it should be Gelori because Gelordi is in love with the ship, and that is the story of a guy who is in love with his ’57 Chevy.” Despite what some fans think now, Pealer didn’t see it as the murder of any kind of character… Instead, he thought “played in George’s character who has always been a stunning guy around women, but if he could just marry his car he would ever live happily.”

However, no less than Michael Piller (probably the best writer Tng Once) seen it as a natural part of the illegal arc of love, not a dramatic deviation.
Star Trek: The next generation Fans usually like the “booby trap”, except for some of the GEORD scenes that boldly go, where no cringe has gone before. It is not clear whether Picard would have made these scenes less creepy; Most likely, the presence of the hero would only make the captain less pleasant.
