At the beachA Canadian Activist intended by new Hong Kong prison temperatures
Victor Ho is one of 19 external activists intended by Hong Kong Group by Hong Kong. It’s a Canadian Base in Vancouver.
This interview has been changed for long and clear.
Victor, how did you hear about this guidance?
I learned this message from Social Media on Thursday when I participated in the concert on Downtown Vancouver.
It’s an amazing feeling. How can Canadians be required by Hong KONG government three times? Is the first time 2021. Second December December – Hong Kong government has made one million Hong Kong for me.
Are you concerned? You are, you never worry?
No, because this is the third time.
The Canadian government has often been for me to the first time that I am by the Hong Kong government, including CSIS and RCMP. Even the Ministry of Total Security, they approached me. They had different information about my quick risk for personal safety. There are many information to advise me that I do not go to countries with extradition agreements with Hong Kong. They try to protect me and ask me what they can do to protect myself.
Police called on Hong Kong for 19 activists who left them outside, in BC Otava, through Canadian security and his sovereignty. Michelle Ghussoub CBC reports.
What about the crimes on here? The police say your group wanted to destroy China’s governments and inappropriate means. How would you respond to it?
In my opinion, it’s unfair. And this is not included. We just reveal our willingness to organize the right for Hong Kong people and in Hong Kong. So me and a group on Hong Kong sources are trying to organize in a democracy manner to say the right to Hong Kong has the right to self-determination, their dominance must be honorable. So we try to make these rights, democratic rights only. I don’t think we have enough force to destroy the government.
What about your friends, even the Hong Kong family? What is life for them there?
Indeed, I cut all the relationships last year with members of Hong Kong family. It was my suggestion to cut down. I don’t want to join them. I don’t want police to come to their door and ask a lot of questions. I just cut the relationship. Phone too.
I have a lot of relatives in Hong Kong. I have eight siblings.
I have not received a bad news from our family members in Hong Kong. So far so good. But I hope they cannot see evidence of my relatives in Hong Kong because I left my favorite family in the beginning of 20. More than 40 years, I don’t have very close relationships to them, so that they can see my relatives there.
Why do so many of them, in the light of what you have specified this afternoon? Why don’t they go like you?
There are various reasons: because of financial capacity, due to their relations with relatives in China. Some of my great brothers have women from Mainland. Therefore cultural connection cannot be easily cut on their attitude. So I understand their situation.
I migrated to Canada because of my career. I know my career’s mind to a communist regime. They don’t like any journalists, so after a discussion with my wife, we decided to leave Hong Kong in 1997 to play that safe.
