‘I have neglected but now there is a World Cup opportunity’


Dan Burns says he thought he could not have a chance to play from England, but now he was getting a place in the World Cup.

Just seven years ago, he was playing in the Burne League One, with Darlington, Yevil and Vigan before he went to the Premier League in his career.

“When the new manager arrived, there was a clean slate, but once you pass during many international breaks, you have accepted the time, but luckily the new manager has given me the opportunity.

“Maybe I don’t think I have a straight line in my career, I really started late and it has come up and down.

“I made debut at the Premier League at 21 and after three years left me with Fulham, so I think this has made me stronger.

“I have a lot of doubt about my career.

The goal is to secure its place in Tuckel’s plans for the World Cup campaign and appearing at the biggest stage of football, Burns said.

He further said: “I am trying to take the camp through the camp at that moment.

“But of course, every child has a dream of playing in the World Cup or playing for your country, so to know that I had this opportunity, if I take it, it is special.”
