Manchester United to provide stadium updates

Manchester United will update supporters about their Stadium project proposals on Tuesday after the co-owner Sir Jim Rataklif reiterated his desire for the new Old Trafford.

The United Strong Region is investigating whether to redevelop their existing place in the same area with a joint venture of the Task Force or not to create a new stadium in the same area.

Lord Sebastian COE has chaired the Task Force and is expected to speak in favor of Ratclifif in the Stadium project update held in London on Tuesday.

Ratclifif said Gary Navily on overlap podcast: “If you think this is the largest football club in the world, if it is going to create a new stadium, it should be a new stadium that is useful for the world’s greatest club.

“And a stadium that is favorable to the world’s greatest league because the Premier League is the largest league in the world.

“And at this point, if you look at the Premier League, we have got some great stadiums, but we do not have Bernabu, isn’t it? And we do not have a new nine camp. We don’t have this in the Premier League, though it is the largest league in the world.

“And, if you look at the north of England, England have won the 4 Champions League Final and London has won two, so there are some of the reasons for being the world’s most popular football stadium in England.”

For the new stadium, the United “does not need any government funds,” said Ratclifif, but emphasized on the government-supporting project to revive the area around Old Trafford.
