Marine National won the emotional champion chase after Jonban stuck

In the Cheltonham Festival, Scene Flanagan won the Marine National in the Queen Mother Champion Chase because the favorite Jonbon short came.

Jonbon (-1-5) expected the trainer to win for JP McManus, but he was immediately struggling after a very confusing start, and the hope of his victory was basically when he won the fifth end fence.

When the Marine National (5-1) went to the final fence next to Quilixios (40-1), and the latter fell, the Jockey Scene Flanagan was pointed out to the sky, winning the victory that the Cheltainham would survive in the focalore.

At the age of 24, this is a victory after a month of tragedy of Jockey Michael O’Sulwin. O’Sulvan died on February 16 due to severe injuries to the Thirsty.

O’Sulivan defeated Marine National in the Supreme Novis obstacles in 223, and Nico de Boinville’s recovery ride scored second place as Jonbone finished second with the eight -year -old boy.

“He did what he did to him”

O’Sulwin’s girlfriend, Charlot Chettenham, was present in the early weekend, spending time in stability with a horse with such a clear connection to her late spouse.

And after the victory written in the stars, both Fleagan and Trainer Barry Cone paid tribute to O’Sulivan.

“This is very emotional for many reasons,” Flanagan told ITV. “His family finds it very difficult, Jockey from Ireland, England and worldwide has been under clouds over the past few weeks.

“Michael is a man who did not really forget what he did.”

Conel added: “It will not sink for a long time. The last three or four weeks are terrible.

“Michael and I went on a journey with this horse. It’s destructive Michael is not with us.

“I want to dedicate this victory to Michael and his girlfriend Charloto. Our hearts go to Michael and his family. Hopefully this is a perfect end. “”

De boinville explodes the horrible start

Jonbon was left out of the field after almost unstinting de booville.

But initially damaged. After the initial incorrect start, Johnbone passed away very slowly and never really seems to be catching, his final runners completed the production of his earlier errors.

In a brief comments to ITV, D Boeville made it irritated by how he explained his start.

Debinville said, “I do not blame anyone, but the tape under his nose does not like him.

“(The beginning) terrible.”

Jazi Matty makes it a magical double

This was an incredibly poignant day after the victory of the Marine Nation, but Jazzi Matty doubled in the grand annual chase.

The unexpected party entered the turn, but 2-2-5-5-5-1 won the jazi Matty, as he entered the stick with Osulivan in the Fred winter teenager’s disabled barrier in 223.

Two years ago, with O’Sulwan in Cheltonham, with both horses that won the same day, a few weeks ago, a few weeks after his death, Jaji Matty’s jockey Danny Giligan gave a beautiful summary.

“I think today we know that someone looks very special on us today,” he told ITV after crossing the line.

The next day, the new lion (-1-5) won the Turner’s beginner Hardal and scored an unbeaten run in five races, and McManus won his Things.

Lackey Wattson (20-1) was a surprise Victor for Trainer Willy Mulins in the Chase of Brown Advisory Novis. Mulins then claimed another outside person Jimmy Doo Seoul (16-1) the coral cup.

Jockey Keith Donogu made the fifth success in the Glennfarcles Cross Country Chase by the topweight and favorite stapstown (-2-2).
